PAL Express Flights

PAL Express is a Philippine full-service air carrier operating on a low-cost model, the budget arm of sister company Philippine Airlines (PAL). Formerly known as Airphil Express, PAL Express was renamed in 2012 to reflect its ties with Philippine Airlines. Passengers on PAL Express flights can also earn miles with Mabuhay Miles, the frequent flier program of PAL.

How to Check In

Online check-in is available for certain PAL Express flights, and will be open for use 24 hours before the scheduled departure time of the flight. Though PAL Express does not have its own website, passengers can log into the Philippine Airlines website to do their web check-in. They will then be presented with an electronic boarding pass that they can print or store on their mobile. Please refer to the Philippine Airlines website to find out if web check-in is available for your flight.

Baggage Allowance & Fees

All Economy class passengers on PAL Express flights are given a complimentary hand baggage allowance of 7kg. Those who opt for the Regular Economy package can also check-in 10kg of baggage for free, whilst those traveling on Budget Economy are not given any check-in baggage allowance.


The option to reserve one’s preferred seat is available during the online check-in procedure, but do note that certain health requirements need to be met before passengers can be given exit row seats. Also, the airline reserves the right to change passengers’ seats with no prior notice.

In-flight services

Depending on the flight duration, passengers on PAL Express flights are served light snacks or hot meals. Though no inflight electronic entertainment system is available, PAL Express offers complimentary reading materials to all passengers. iPad rental is also available at a small fee.
