Why Fly with Philippine Airlines

Check In

Philippine Airlines provides online check-in service 24 hours up to 1 hour before your flight's departure. This service is available for all Philippine Airlines’ domestic flights and international flights, except to Xiamen, Chengdu, and Jinjiang. For passengers on other flights and those traveling with special requirements such as unaccompanied minors or those requiring medical assistance, it is recommended to be at the airport check-in counters at least two hours before the scheduled departure time for domestic flights and three hours before the scheduled departure time for international flights. Do note that check-in counters will close 45 minutes before flight departure.

Payment Methods

For online bookings, Philippine Airlines accepts all major credit cards (MasterCard / Visa / JCB / American Express), Bancnet, Alipay, and PayPal. Debit cards with the Mastercard and VISA logos designed for online transactions are also accepted. For offline cash payments, these can be made at the PAL ticket offices, or at any of their partner establishments.


For Philippine Airline fights, specific seat reservation requests will be done when you check in for your flight online. Business Class cabin features flat-bed seats with a 180-degree recline while Premium Economy seats have either standard or recliner chairs with a 34 to 39-inch seat pitch. Economy Class has 18-inch wide standard seats with a 30-31 seat pitch. Economy Class passengers can also opt for seats with better legroom; these Choice Seats are available for a fee on selected flights and subject to availability.

Baggage Allowance

Passengers flying to Guam, Japan, Middle East, Europe, Canada, and the United States are allowed to check-in 2 pieces of luggage. Business Class passengers have up to 32 kg each and up to 23 kg each for the Economy Class passengers. For all other destinations, Business Class passengers can check-in up to 30 to 45 kg while Economy Class are allowed up to 20 to 35 kg, depending on the flight route. An infant fare is entitled to one piece of checked baggage with a weight of 7 kg. Carry-on luggage is up to 7 kg not exceeding 115 cm in total dimension. In-Flight Services

For long-haul and medium-haul flights, and depending on the aircraft, seats are equipped with Inflight Entertainment Systems, featuring Audio Video OnDemand. There is a wide variety of audio, video, and games to choose from. Selected Philippine Airlines flights also offer Wi-Fi access. Passengers can surf the internet or browse social media for 30 minutes or 15 MB for FREE and surf longer for the rest of the journey on any of the myPALWiFi subscription plans. Complimentary meals from a selection of Western and Asian dishes are available on flights exceeding 45 minutes. Complimentary snacks will be served on shorter domestic flights.
