The airport is located just around 25 minutes from Marina Bay, at the eastern part of Singapore. Currently, the airport has 4 passenger terminals (T1, T2, T3, and T4) and 6 boarding gates (Gate A, B, C, D, E, and F). The main T1 is located at the northern end of the airport and hosts for international flights. The T2 which is located at the eastern end hosts flights to the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Meanwhile, T3 on the western end is the home for Singapore Airline and operates flights to Europe, South America, North America, East Asia, and Oceania.

The last one is T4 which hosts for regional services and low-cost carrier flights. It is the latest terminal operating in the airport which was opened in 2017. In 2019, Singapore Changi sets to launch an interconnecting terminal between T1, T2, and T3 which will be known as Jewel Changi Airport. This new terminal is built in an attempt to expand the capacity of the T1.


Transfers between terminals are conveniently served by a free shuttle service, the SkyTrain. The waiting time between the SkyTrain departures is approximately 4 minutes and it takes 4 minutes to go to between terminals. It operates from 5:00 – 2:30 AM. Travelling on early flights to Singapore Changi? Take advantage of the free shuttle bus which operates between 2:30 and 5:00 AM and departs every 15 minutes.


This airport is highly accessible by MRT, public bus, Taxi, and airport transfer. Please note that while the MRT, public bus, and airport transfer’s fare may be fixed, the taxi’s fare may be higher on peak hours between 6:00 and 9:30 AM.
