Baggage Allowances

Air Tahiti’s baggage allowances may seem leaner than usual. This is due to the unique challenges of flying in French Polynesia – baggage restrictions are set for safety reasons.
Cabin baggage: All passengers are entitled to a one piece of cabin baggage of size 45 x 35 x 20cm and maximum weight allowance of 5kg. All items that passengers are carrying into the cabin must fit within a single piece of baggage falling within the size restriction. Baggage not conforming to the requirements may be allowed with limited release (i.e. at the discretion of ground staff) and counted as checked baggage, deductible from the permitted allowance.
Checked baggage: All fare types passengers are allowed a maximum of 3 items for check in baggage and the baggages are limited to 23kg per passenger and 150cm for size. Divers are entitled to an additional allowance of 5kg, which may be used only for diving equipment within the restrictions for number of items, size and maximum weight per item. To claim this allowance, passengers must show either their official diver's card or document from a diving club stating the dates and sites of diving.

In-flight services

Air Tahiti serves a complimentary welcome drink onboard ATR flights. Additional refreshments can be purchased, and alcoholic drinks are offered for sale from 9am onwards. Accepted modes of payment are local cheques and cash. Twin Otter and Beechcraft flights do not have cabin crew, so no food and beverage services are available onboard.
The Air Tahiti Magazine is available for perusal, but passengers are encouraged to enjoy the view during the flight.
