Druk Air Flights

Druk Air is the national and flag carrier of the Kingdom of Bhutan that is headquartered in Paro. Until 23 August 2010, Druk Air was the only airline flying into Bhutan and it has been seen as a way to support inbound tourism and export markets. Drukair operates a modest scheduled flight network within the South Asian region from its base at Paro Airport and currently consists of twelve destinations in six countries. Druk Air current operates the Airbus 319 and ATR 42-500 in her fleet of planes.

How to Check In

Passengers traveling on Druk Air are required to check-in at least two hours prior to flight departure and all check-in counters will close 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time of flight departure. If a credit card was utilised to purchase the ticket, it has to be presented at check-in for verification.

Baggage Allowance & Fees

Hand carry baggage:
Passengers traveling on Druk Air in Economy and Business will enjoy 30kg and 40kg of free baggage allowance respectively. Do note that the weight of cabin baggage count towards this free baggage limit. However, personal items such as a small camera, hand bag, reading materials or walk sticks are part of the free baggage allowance and are therefore not included in the limit. Cabin baggage should not exceed 45 x 35 x 20 cm in dimensions or 5kg in weight.
Check in luggage: The total weight for checked-baggage and cabin baggage should not exceed 30kg and 40kg for passengers traveling in Economy and Business class respectively.


Druk Air operates both Business and Economy cabins on the Airbus A319 flights. The new configuration features 16 Business Class and 102 Economy Class seats.

In-flight services

There is no in-flight entertainment or wireless internet on-board Druk Air but food and beverages are provided. There is also an inflight magazine for the reading pleasure of all passengers.
