Don Mueang International Airport has the majority of flights going to Krabi, with Suvarnabhumi Airport handling the lower number of commercial flight services. Terminal Information

Leaving from Bangkok to Krabi via Don Mueang International Airport is relatively simple. You will most likely leave via the Domestic Terminal, but you must be certain of the location of your check-in counter. Upon lining up, your documents will be checked by the airline representatives. You can then venture to the Customs and Security screenings for further inspections, before you will be allowed to wait for your boarding time. Once you arrive in Krabi Airport and finish with the corresponding procedures, you can consider your transport options. You can either rent a car and drive yourself to your destination, or ride on an airport pick-up you have arranged through your hotel or transport agency. You can also use the airport's authorised transfer services available. Krabi Airport taxis and buses offer prepaid, fixed rates fares. You can buy a coupon from one of the booths inside the terminal before looking for a driver outside. There is also an official airport bus service, although it serves only Ao Nang and Krabi Town.

When it comes to domestic travel, you should still arrive at the airport at around an hour or so before your scheduled departure time. This allows you to prepare your documents (e.g. ticket and/or booking details, IDs, licence) and submit them in order. It will minimise any hassle, making it easier to get through the procedures. What to expect in Krabi

Due to being located in the same country, there is no time difference to take note of between Bangkok and Krabi. You should, however, be aware of any differences in weather. Bangkok has three distinct weather patterns – hot season from March to June, rainy season from July to October and cool season between November and February. Rain can start late in June, though, stop for a couple of months and then continue well into January. Dry heatwaves may also occur, so be sure to check weather forecasts before you venture to Krabi.
