St. Lucia Botanical Gardens - St. Lucia Botanical Gardens, located in the town of Soufrière, contains the oldest botanical gardens on Saint Lucia and the Diamond Waterfall. It is also known as Diamond Botanical Gardens.
Sulphur Springs - Sulphur Springs is known as the "world's only drive-in volcano". The area is very popular with tourists as visitors can literally drive up to the edge of the springs. How to get around
The most convenient way to really get around the island is by having a taxi arranged by the hotel, booking one over the phone, or waiting at the taxi stop. Taxis arranged by the hotel tend to be more expensive. Tours of the island can also be booked. Local buses are much more affordable and are safe, reliable, and inexpensive. There are also small shared vans that take in 10-14 passengers at a time. Service is irregular but frequent, especially from rural towns to urban centres. Water taxis are a fun and unique way of getting to private beaches or coastal towns, as are helicopter taxis. The former can be found at the jetty in the town of Soufrière and near the Hummingbird Hotel and Soufrière beach. The latter can be taken between Hewannora International Airport and Vigie Airport. Cars are also available for rent.
