Barcelona El-Prat Airport, Spain

Barcelona Airport, also known as Barcelona El-Prat Airport, is located southwestof Barcelona, between the municipalities of El Prat de Llobregat, Sat Boi and Vilamoura.
The airport is the second largest in Spain behind Madrid Barajas Airport and the 31st busiest in the world. The airport mainly serves domestic, European and North African destinations.

In 2012 over 35 million passengers used Barcelona Airport. It is not hard to understand why. Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, is one of the most frequented cities in the world, by both business and leisure travellers.

There are two terminals at the airport, T1 built in 2009 which is the main terminal and T2.

Several facilities and services feature prominently at the airport. These range from car hire services, to lockers to cash machines and transfer and transport services between the airport and city. Dining options range from bars and cafes to restaurants and fast food. Your shopping needs are also taken care of with Buff, a Catalan sports equipment store, Massimo Dutti and a FCBotica for football fans. Children are also catered for with an Imaginarium store stocking more than 1,000 educational and fun toys for children aged 0-8. There is also business centre for business travellers and a wellness centre for those yearning for a good massage.

Some of the luxurious hotels found in the hotel’s vicinity include the Renaissance Hotel, Tryp Barcelona Aeropuerto Hotel, Best Western Alfa Aeropuerto Hotel and the Ciutat Del Prat just to name a few.
