The Murchison Falls National Park is the largest national park in the country spanning a land area of 3,840 square kilometres and is home of the well-known Murchison Falls. Lastly the Kasubi Tombs, located in Kampala, is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is the location of the burial grounds for the four kings of Buganda.

If you’re travelling to Uganda for game viewing and to visit the numerous national parks, the best months would be during the dry season between the months of June to August and December to February. The months of June to September are considered the high peak season and while they don’t get crowded, obtaining gorilla permits should be done well in advance. Meanwhile, March to May and October to November are considered the low season as the rainfall is heavier. While that shouldn’t deter you from flying to Uganda, some campgrounds and lodges may close and roads and forest trails may be inaccessible.
Uganda has more than 40 airports but only a handful operate scheduled passenger service from commercial airlines. The main domestic passenger service airports include Aura Airport (RUA), Gulu Airport (ULU), Kasese Airport (KSE) and Moyo Airport (OYG). The main international airport, Entebbe International Airport (EBB), is located on the shores of Lake Victoria near the town of Entebbe. Several airlines operate flights to Uganda including Emirates, KLM, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways, British Airways, Turkish Airlines and South African Airways. However, there are currently no directs flights from Singapore to Uganda.
