The city of Phuket is served by the Phuket International Airport which is Thailand’s third busiest airport in terms of passenger numbers. There are two main terminals here at the airport - Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are used for international and domestic flights respectively. The airport is relatively smaller as compared to the busier airports that are located in Bangkok and therefore have limited facilities and food options - it is therefore recommended for travellers to find food before arriving at the airport.
Complimentary WiFi is provided at the Phuket International Airport so you remain connected even while waiting for your flight. There are no large international chain hotels near to the airport but there are a handful of smaller budget hotels for travellers on a longer layover. Alternatively, there are a number of paid lounges at the airport where travellers can gain entry into for some complimentary drinks and snacks.
