Kingsford Smith Airport, Sydney

Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport is an international airport situated fairly close to the heart of Sydney, Australia. It is the most popular and commonly used airport in the country.

Incorporating international, domestic and regional flights, travelling between the International Terminal (T1) and the Domestic Terminals (T2 and T3) is efficient and hassle free with a variety of comfortable options. Hop on the T-Bus for a nominal fee for a one-way trip to or from each terminal which takes approximately 10 minutes. For an even speedier alternative, look out for the train service that transports you to your destination terminal in a whopping 2 minutes. Travelling between the Domestic Terminals can be easily done on foot.

Those with babies are well looked after with change tables, nursing areas and even microwave ovens in the baby change rooms. Play areas keep older children occupied and entertained. Being exceptionally family-oriented, the airport has specially allocated a family queue at its security screening points so screening your bags will be less of an ordeal. It may also be possible to board earlier than other passengers should you have young children with you.

Should you need help with your children or other matters, Sydney’s Gold Ambassador volunteers in their iconic striking gold jackets are on hand to solve your issues.

Sydney Airport allows you to indulge in guilt-free shopping. This means you pay a fair bit less than what you would pay downtown for the product. Tourists also can enjoy a tax refund on products bought in Australia.

There is free WiFi throughout T1 and T2, Internet kiosks and shops providing access to products, supplies and services for your mobile phone necessities. Prayer rooms are also available to accommodate religious needs. Get a refreshing bath with shower facilities. Additionally, public TTY telephones, specially designed to provide hearing aid telecommunication services for the deaf, are available in several locations in the International Terminal. Look out for the lounges, pharmacies, banks, medical centres, massage bars and currency exchange services to ease your worries.
