Flights To Stockholm

Flights to Stockholm, Sweden

The city of Stockholm is served by 4 air facilities, Stockholm-Arlanda Airport, Stockholm Bromma Airport, Stockholm Skavsta Airport and Stockholm Västerås Airport. Of the 4, however, only Stockholm-Arlanda Airport receives long-haul international flights from outside Europe. It is considered the main international gateway into Sweden, as well as the largest airport in the country. The other 3 airports handle only domestic and short-haul regional flights from within Europe.

  • Stockholm-Arlanda Airport is located about 40 kilometres from Stockholm. A taxi ride from the airport to the city centre would take around 40 minutes, at a fare of about SEK 470-520 (SGD 74-82).
  • Stockholm Bromma Airport is located the closest to Stockholm of the 4 airports, being only about 7.4 kilometres away. A taxi ride from Bromma to downtown Stockholm would take around 15 minutes, at a fare of around SEK 300 (SGD 48).
  • Stockholm Skavsta Airport and Stockholm Västerås Airport are both situated much further away, at 100 and 110 kilometres respectively. As such, travellers are advised not to hire a private taxi as the fare to Stockholm would be quite astronomical (about 1,500 SEK (SGD 238)). In contrast, public transportation such as the Flygbussarna - which connects to the centrally-located Stockholm Cityterminalen - would cost only about 159 SEK (SGD 25).
