After an extensive renovation process, the Yangon International Airport is now home to three main terminals - Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 (now used for domestic flights). There are limited facilities here at the airport but if you do require some currency exchange, the airport is known to have fair exchange rates (just make sure your international currency is in good condition because the worn-out pieces are usually rejected). While the airport does operate on a 24-hour basis, most restaurants do close early so be sure to plan for these occasions if you intend to stay over.

Should you wish to check-in to a nearby hotel, there are a number of options but none of them are large international chain hotels. Complimentary airport transfers between the hotels and the airport are also common but travellers may also choose to leave their luggage in luggage storage facilities and lockers.
