The Federated States of Micronesia, or FSM, consists of four states namely Yap, Chuuk (Truk), Pohnpei (Ponape), and Korsae (Kosaie). The climate within the Federated States of Micronesia is tropical with heavy rainfall annually especially within the eastern islands. What to see & do

Among the sights to see within the Federated States of Micronesia include Nan Madol, Lelu Ruins, Yap Island, Ethnic Art Village, Balabat Village, Yap Art Studio and Gallery, in addition to the Chuuk Lagoon, Kolonia, Sokehs Island, and Weno. Lelu Island is connected to Kosrae by a causeway, where a massive walled city was built in the 13th and 14th centuries. Within the island is the Lelu’s ruins, which include burial mounds, and dwelling hidden behind thick vegetation. Hours of trekking can be done within the dense jungle. Within Ethnic Art Village, village elders have been invited to teach their craftsmanship, as well as techniques to younger artists, the Ethnic Art Village is located within Trader’s Ridge Resort. Other destinations include Balabat Village which features traditional men’s houses and rai or stone money; Yap Art Studio & Gallery a little gallery that features work of the country’s artists; and Nan Madol, the spot that comprises of 92 artificial islets that have been built on tidal flats and reefs.
