Where to go
From Ho Chi Minh Airport, a flight to Hanoi would take only 2 hours. Explore Vietnam’s capital city, a unique fusion of modernity and tradition. The city offers sparkling skyscrapers and large malls juxtaposed against ancient architecture like the Hanoi Citadel, Old Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature.
If you want to get out of Vietnam, though, a short-haul flight from Tan Son Nhat International Airport can get you to the exotic Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. Besides being the gateway to the Himalayas (including that great behemoth Mount Everest), Kathmandu is a hotbed of spiritual shrines and temples as old as time itself.
Prefer something further away? A direct long-haul flight from Ho Chi Minh City Airport will transport you to the magical land of Istanbul, the capital of Turkey. Home to magnificent, world famous religious sites like the Hagia Sophia, Sultan Ahmet Mosque and Topkapi Palace, Istanbul is a city where ancient decadence continues to shine through.
