Where to go

Domestic

Kuching Airport offers direct flights to another popular Malaysian tourist attraction, Kota Kinabalu. Only 1.5 hours away, the city of Kota Kinabalu is most known as the gateway to the mighty Mount Kinabalu, the tallest mountain in Malaysia. Give yourself a challenge and attempt the 2-day trek up to the summit, or simply explore the stunningly beautiful Kinabalu Park if you’re in the region.

International

A mere 1.5 hours away is the city of Singapore, Malaysia’s friendly next door neighbour. A little island nation known for its stunning cityscape, lush greenery and clean streets, Singapore is popular with tourists looking for a luxurious urban playground. Scale the iconic Marina Bay Sands for a look at that famous infinity pool (the highest of its kind in the world), then head over to Sentosa for some well-deserved bum time on the beach.

But if you’re looking for after-dark fun, few places do it as well as Hong Kong. After a quick stopover in Singapore, make your way onwards for Asia’s sin city, the home of Lan Kwai Fong. From hopping discotheques to themed bars, chill-out lounges to dance clubs, this flashy street will make sure you’re good and entertained all the way till the sun comes up.
