Where to hire a car at Anglesey Airport
You can rent a car from most of the big brands at Anglesey Airport. Europcar, Hertz, Sixt, Thrifty, Avis, Alamo, Budget, Enterprise, Inter Rent and Keddy all offer car rental options. Some brands, such as Europcar, offer a 'meet and greet' service.

There are a few airports on Holyhead Road, less than 10 minutes drive to the north-west of the airport in the direction of Holyhead. If you're coming from the mainland, there's a BP Station on Holyhead Road about 20 minutes drive from the airport.
Driving around Anglesey Airport
The roads immediately around the airport are small and suburban. The North Wales Expressway dual carriageway is just a four minute drive from the airport. The road runs all the way from Holyhead in the West to Chester in the east.

It takes about 25 minutes in light traffic to drive from Anglesey Airport to Newborough. Start the journey by heading west on the North Wales Expressway before leaving at Junction 6. Forestry commission and beach car parks are widely available in areas of interest. Some car parks charge a small fee: for example there is an entrance fee of £4* at the beach.
It's easy to pass through Holyhead en route to Dublin without stopping to enjoy the town itself. If you decide to stay for a while you'll discover charming shops, fantastic golf courses, and a laid back nightlife.
It only takes 11 minutes to reach Holyhead from Anglesey Airport. Simply head west on the North Wales Expressway. Once you arrive in Holyhead you'll find limited car parking on the side of the street. Anglesey's short stay car parks usually charge £1.20 for up to two hours, while long stay car parks charge £3 for up to 12 hours. Always check local signage for regulations, and to find out which type of car park you're using.
This historic town sits near the border between Anglesey and North Wales, making it a great base for exploring both regions.
It takes about half an hour in light traffic to drive to Beaumaris from the airport. Again, the North Wales Expressway is the quickest way to reach your destination. Leave the expressway at junction 8 and head north. You can park for up to 4 hours at the Beaumaris car park for £1.80, or 12 hours for £3.
