Great Staff, Views, and Vibe.
We recently had a 4 night stay at the Appleton Marriott Courtyard Riverfront. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience to stay there. The location was great, with rooms overlooking the river. (Ask for a top floor, river view room with balcony!). Rooms are spacious and beds very comfy. Our room was exceptionally quiet and had excellent light blackout at night. Our room was a bit quirky as it had a lot of space, but was a bit lacking of furniture. The bed faced the slider doors to the balcony, which meant the bedside table were very crowded. There was a half moon shaped loveseat with ottoman, but other than that, 1/3 of the room was just empty. We definitely would have liked more seating, and most of all, more drawers! There were only 2 drawers in our room, not counting a tiny bedside drawer on one side of the bed. There was no storage in the bathroom either as there were no shelves under the vanity. The bathroom had no exhaust fan, and could easily become steamy. The shower had a glass door that covered one-half of the shower. While a modern look, this did not function as well as I would have liked, and the bath mat outside the shower became a tad wet when the shower was turned on. The room and bathroom were very clean and in great condition. I liked that there was central air in the room and no noisy window heating unit. The lobby was particularly great with numerous modern work and lounge spaces. There was a very nice bistro that opened for breakfast and a light dinner. It also served as a bar. The woman who worked at the bar/bistro in the evenings was absolutely fabulous. She was so friendly, and kind. We made a point to stop and get a drink each evening just to have an opportunity to interact with her. Food in the bistro was delicious, although we only ate dinner there one night. Outside was a huge gas fire pit and we enjoyed drinks there each night. Adjacent to the hotel is a nice paved greenway trail along the river. We enjoyed walking along that several times. Our experience with the hotel staff was A +. They were very accommodating of all our requests and friendly. This makes a hotel stay memorable, and will cause us to return.

Great value for quiet, new hotel by the river
Very nice stay at this relatively new property. I’ve stayed in a lot of Courtyards for work, and the Appleton Riverfront location stood out for its newness, cleanliness, spaciousness and nice amenities.
Nice open lobby with big open bar, lots of seating, and TVs. The back patio had the fire pit going at night, which was a nice touch. Easy access to the river walking path, which connected to a nearby coffee shop / restaurant.
A++ customer service as well. I accidentally left a hanging garment bag in the closet, and the Manager was kind enough to FedEx that back to me without any hassle.
