Beautiful quiet and peaceful place
The perfect place to decompress
Pension of only 15 rooms with very nice and large spaces and a very nice clean decor
Here no big reception nor a horde of staff, a discreet entrance to the side of the building and you feel very quickly "like home"
The breakfast is fabulous, several spaces are available to you with a beautiful view of the vegetation of the park or a pool with the soft sound of water flowing and very pleasant service and little care
A living room with very large sofas or the Spot 'Relax' below, with beds and cushions to "lay" and book just perfect!
The square pool is also very nice and unoccupied
At its side a beautiful stone building that houses a heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room as well as a cloakroom with a multi-jet shower
We may have regretted the lack of a bar service, and a concierge service for luggage or Reservation of places nearby but that is not the spirit of the place
A 4-course menu available every night except Tuesday which we couldn't try but which looked delicious
We arranged a beautiful and spacious room (one) with bath, shower, terrace (2 deckchairs + table and chairs)
Amazing bedding and very appreciable evening room service
In short, a haven of peace!

Son Gener Finca/Hotel, Mallorca
We have just had an idyllic 4 days at Son Gener. It is just beautiful, quiet, gorgeous pools, stunning hotel and gardens, beautiful food, really lovey rooms, the friendliest staff, its just everything you could want from a rural Hotel. Arta nearby has a fantastic Market on the Tuesday, a couple of lovely restaurants and if you are willing to walk on a dirt track for 20 minutes down you can find a beautiful unspoilt beach not far away in the car. We had our two girls 17 and 13 with us and they loved the Hotel and the area, but it is quiet.
Thank you to Henrik at Rural Hotels Mallorca for recommending and organising this trip for us, very much recommend using him, very helpful and has other Hotels around the Island if you want to move around a bit.

Gorgeous, magical, irresistible
After a fraught flight from London, we arrived at 4pm on Saturday, just wanting a cup of tea. This was brought to us on our terrace in crisp white china. And we began to breathe out. By Sunday, we had swapped the tea for glasses of Rose from their excellent wine menu and felt like we never wanted to leave. Had it not been for a hotel booked in Palma in 7 days, perhaps we wouldn’t. With beautiful scenery, amazing pools, delicious food sourced from the farm, and kind hosts, Son Gener is gorgeous, magical, and irresistible. We loved every minute.

Gorgeous place to stay
My family and I stayed recently and had a lovely time relaxing in the middle of the Mallorca countryside. There are things to do locally but we didn’t really want to leave the hotel! The food is delicious, the service fantastic and quiet enough to only really see other guests at mealtimes.

Perfect place for R&R in Mallorca
Echoing lots of the other glowing reviews - Finca Son Gener was a true oasis on Mallorca. By far our best experience across 5 hotels on the island (several of which also came at a higher price point!).
Gorgeous sprawling grounds, beautiful (quiet) pools, lots of nooks and crannies to relax and soak in the view / atmosphere. Room was pristine and well appointed. Lovely set menu dinners on the terrace each night. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful, and always with delicious home made treats. We never did manage to leave the hotel in the 2 days we were there!
Note this is a 'deluxe homestay' type experience - don't come expecting a 'standard' 5* hotel (service by the pool, fully functioning reception / concierge, spa therapist on premise, extensive restaurant menu etc). But if you want to feel at home in gorgeous surroundings, there is no better place in Mallorca.
