Good location in downtown Cuenca

I spent one night at this hotel during my stay in Cuenca with my family. It afforded a good location, at about a 10-munute walking distance from the Puerta de Valencia and 20 minutes to reach the cathedral. There were many buses that passed right infront of the hotel, that could get you to the historical landmarks in half the time. The rooms surpassed our expectations for a 2-star hotel, the hotel was very quiet, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The owners who received us were very professional and serviceable. Overall, it was a thoroughbly option for a one night stay in Cuenca.

A disappointing experience

A disappointing experience
After a trip of about 6 hours, arriving at the hotel and finding the room in these conditions was really frustrating. There was hair on the floor and other areas of the room, dust and dirt. The pillow was completely burst and in very bad condition, making it difficult to even rest.
Furthermore, there was no information about the Wi-Fi and, when we went to the front desk to ask for help, no one was available.
We understand that problems can arise, but minimum conditions of cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service should be guaranteed, especially after a long trip.
We expect a solution from the hotel, but our first impression has been very negative and, certainly, it does not correspond to what we expected from the contracted service.
The joke is that if guests don't clean the room before leaving it, they will charge you €50 for lack of cleaning...

Typical old hotel in the city

Pedro Torres is a hotel located in Cuenca, the main city in the province, in Castilla-la-Mancha Region. We stayed there 3 nights in a triple room. The rate quality/price is good. The bathroom has all we need and the staff/owner was very friendly and she recommended us some places to go to lunch/dinner or to buy food.
On the other hand, the hotel is old, the typical hotel of 60-70's and the door of the bathroom does not work correctly.

Great hotel in the heart of the town centre

Easy to get to from train station as bus drops you right outside. Friendly host. No check in until 2 but able to leave bags. Rooms were good and wifi and showers worked fine. Really enjoyed our stay in Cuenca and this was an excellent base to discover this wonderful little town.
