I had a great stay at Popcorn Hostel! The atmosphere is very cool and friendly, making it easy to meet other travelers. I really enjoyed the BBQ night and the large outdoor area, which is perfect for relaxing and socializing. The rooms and bathrooms were cleaned every day, so everything was kept tidy. The hostel is comfortable, well organized, and offers great value for money. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bucharest.

Rude extorting owner and security risk in check-in
Owner forced us to write five star reviews for him to turn the air conditioning on. Owner was rude and check in was a security risk with bank account details and passport images stored in URLs.

Best Hostel I'm been in
You can think that this is fake review, cuz I really don't have anything bad to say. For this price it's the nicest Hostel, staff is very friendly, especially Cătălin (he is an admin here) They helped us a lot, gave us even more than we needed. When other hostels were canceling reservations of this people, this Hostel didn't left a single person out, even though it was more people than places in the Hostel.
As well, we had a lot of fun with people who were staying here and workers, they have a table soccer, billiard and aero hokey, poker and chess. Everything for a company of friends.

Sehr schlechte Verhältniss
Very disappointing experience with Popcorn Hostel Bucharest. We paid the full booking amount, and after some time they asked for additional payments under the name of a “city tax,” even though this was not clearly mentioned during the booking process. This kind of behavior causes inconvenience and destroys customers’ trust.
Any respectable place should clearly state all fees from the beginning, not after the booking has been confirmed and paid for. In addition, the communication was very unprofessional and the issue was not handled properly. The staff member even insulted us with extremely offensive language and hung up the phone. When we arrived, we were shocked to discover that our reservation had been canceled without any prior notice or warning.
I do not recommend anyone to book at this hostel.
I will definitely not repeat this experience again.
