Clean and nice
Clean and nice hostal with a nice interior design. Rooms are with tv and minibar.
Noise from the traffic in the street are somewhat disturbing, but you can ask for a room facing the courtyard.

Excellent staff
The first night we arrived, we were put in a less than expected room. After the journey, it didn't quite matter much to me. It was clean. The next morning, we were moved to a more suitable room and that is the room we had the remainder of the time. Again, the room was clean and tidy. The bed area was adequate and the bathroom large. The hair dryer didn't work, and I failed to tell the staff - they very well may not have known.
We left valuables in the room, at times quite out in the open - money on the dresser, etc. We never had any problem or issue. It was obvious the housekeeper had been in to clean and make the bed. She would even tidy up the dresser for us. Everything remained in order. Made us feel very comfortable, although I certainly don't recommend making that a habit
Breakfast is offered from 7:00am - 10:00am. You need to get there early or it's a "snooze you lose" deal. We would arrive around 8:30 or 9:00 and by then all that was left was coffee, a bit of juice and bread. Eggs were always available to be prepared upon your request of the wait staff. But, the fruit and yogurt was usually gone.
We spent New Years in Lima and Rafael, the Administrator of the hotel, kindly sent up bouquet of yellow flowers (traditional New Years color), a tray of grapes (also a tradition), meats & cheese and a bottle of champagne. This was a very thoughtful gesture and much appreciated.
We selected this hotel because of the location within the vicinity of the friends and family we were visiting, but the city is noisy and no air conditioning is the norm. Therefore, with the windows open, expect to be awaken very early by the outside noises.
Communal computer is available and easily accessible.
All in all the hotel met our needs and was reasonable in price. Again, the staff was incredibly helpful and nice.
