Honest Budapest by chic&basic, located between the Eastern and Western train stations, is surrounded by trendy boutiques, great restaurants and impressive sights.

Affordable, clean, and in a good location.
Location, in our experience, strategic, convenient to the center, 5 minutes from metro line 2, and a few steps from the New York Café and the Jewish Quarter.
Decently sized rooms, clean, free of carpeting for cleanliness, and a small but well-utilized bathroom; the wall that divides the shower from the sleeping area, at least in our room, is made of frosted glass with transparent edges, which, in addition to being pleasing to the eye, can be a source of embarrassment for people sharing the room without the necessary intimacy.
Breakfast includes the classic sweet/savory selection with a good availability of products; quality, especially regarding the cold cuts, in my opinion is not exceptional but still decent in relation to the cost of the overnight stay.
Staff, both in the breakfast room and at the reception, courteous and willing to provide useful information.
A nice attention towards the guest is the possibility to have water bottles filled ad libitum both for use on-site and for takeaway.
Cost of the overnight stay appropriate and overall quite low.

Chic and Basic!
The room is very small, but quite comfortable and with all the stuff you will need. Clean too.
The hotel breakfast is ok too, nothing special but quite adequate. I would have liked better coffee and juice though.
Reception area ok, and the bar too.
The area is a bit of a backwater, despite there being Michelin Restaurant right next door. About a 20 minute down to the river. Safe and quiet.
