A gem for rest and bath
We had a really lovely week at Samaina Inn and can warmly recommend the hotel. From the first day we felt well taken care of. The staff is the hotel’s greatest asset – always smiling, friendly, helpful and genuinely committed to ensuring guests enjoy themselves. The service is of a very high standard and creates a familiar and relaxed atmosphere.
The hotel is well maintained with nice, clean rooms that are thoroughly cleaned every day. The pool area is nice and the whole facility gives a very well-groomed impression. The food is delicious and varied. It may not be the most exclusive we’ve experienced, but it’s of great quality and works great for a week’s all-inclusive holiday.
Karlovassi is a quiet and genuine part of Samos, perfect for those who want to relax and enjoy the Greek atmosphere. Here you will find beautiful surroundings, pleasant walks and a pleasant pace far from the most touristy resorts. For us, the combination of Samaina Inn and Karlovassi was a perfect holiday, and we will gladly return.

Nice hotel but need a car.
Lovely hotel. The beach is over the road which is quite busy and we had a seafront room. Not worth the extra money due to the noise. Rooms facing the pool were lovely. Staff were great but while the selection of food was good, the "hot" food wasn't unless it had literally just been put out.
We don't drive abroad and had hoped for a good bus service but it was very poor. So for us, we were just at the hotel. Nice restaurant directly over the road and nice cafes and restaurants at the port.
Walked to Potami beach to see the waterfalls but you have to swim round to see them so couldn't do that.
Not the best location unless you hire a car.

Great stress free break
Visited Samos for the first time and Samaina Zion was a lovely hotel. My bedroom was incredibly spacious and the bathroom huge. You cannot fault the staff who work incredibly hard - the cleaning staff early in the morning around the pool area were a sight to see! I have never seen an area be as thoroughly cleaned before!!
The dining area staff are incredibly attentive either tables being cleared and cleaned very quickly . Food is very nicely presented and hot / cold as appropriate. The lady at the pool bar was so friendly and although the cocktails are a bit basic, they tasted nice! The wine is good, not rough and my friend was quite happy with the beer. If you want to splash the cash occasionally on a cocktail from the inside bar, you won’t be disappointed!
There is a small beach opposite the hotel with free dinners and umbrellas. Good idea to take beach shoes as it is quite pebbly but the sea was lovely and clear. We went up to the beach further up the coast one day and sat by the Hippi bar which served lovely food and drinks, well recommended!
The only criticism I have is the entertainment, or lack of it! When we were there you could do Pilates or yoga on the beach early in the morning and there was table tennis and z gym which I didn’t investigate. On Monday and Thursday there was live music which I’m afraid was fire!! Greek night on Wednesday was a bit better with people encouraged to join in dancing but it still wasn’t all that great.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay here, as I say the staff are incredible. Probably wouldn’t stay again but only because of the location, a bit too far from anywhere.

Great stay at Samaina Inn
We stayed for 2 weeks at the end of May and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff are very friendly and hard working. This is the cleanest hotel we have stayed in. Food in the restaurant was great, especially the traditional greek dishes. We like hiking and there are lots of walks available in the area with amazing views. There are plenty of bars/restaurants near the hotel and the town centre is a 20 minute walk or short taxi ride. Lots of different nationalities staying in the hotel which was nice. Thank you Samaina.
