Great Holiday!

We had an amazing time at Hotel Zur Igelstadt. The hotel is run by the family, which you can feel, they are very welcoming and Mrs. Fein is always happy to have a chat. The son is the chef, we enjoyed the german traditional food a lot. We booked the Panorama room, which has a great view. The hotel is located in a small village, it is quiet and you can drive to the lake nearby.

The hotel is closed

The hotel is closed. My friend booked and paid for August 24, 2025 through booking.com and was standing in front of the closed door and then received an email confirmation from the hotel that she had checked in. Such an outrage from the hotel owner. Now she has to try to get her money back.

Wonderful little hotel

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Zur Ingelstadt. We spent a week during Christmas and St Sylvester. The hotel was well decorated and full of warm and welcoming people. The restaurant food was sublime and we experienced the best of traditional German cuisine carefully prepared by Chef Daniel. We had a top level room with direct view to the hills and made even better with the perfect weather. Family Fein & hotel staff has dedicated much of their time to make our stay memorable and also to recommend the nicest places to visit in the Edersee region.

Ski weekend

Nice hotel with very clean rooms, recently renovated.
Many parking spots next to the hotel.
Warm and cozy atmosphere.
Good food, both breakfast as dinner, with various choice and good hours.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Not too far from ski resorts of Winterberg or Willingen, also not too far from another touristic spot (Waldeck castle and Eder Dam).
Place I like to recommend.

Compared to the price, it is very good

Friendly service, good sleepingroom (no luxury), good German food, especially in the weekend (great buffet and extended breakfast); nature and culture nearby (Schloss Waldeck, 'Fachwerkhäuser", Wildpark Edersee, etc.)
