Great bar and terrace

I can't say anything about the hotel, but go to the terrace bar for a drink! The best daikiri in Varadero! The waitress is really friendly and attentive

Lousy Service

We stop at the Pullman everytime we are in Varadero for a drink. This past trip we sat at their newly renovated outside tables made out of some recycled material in the most uncomfortable tippy stools. We waited for service and we’re completely ignored for 15 mins by the 2 wait staff. The only good point was the outside bathroom had toilet paper and was fairly clean. We left in disgust after the Spanish speaking people that arrived long after us were served. Will not be going back again.

Disgusting hovel

WE came across this atrocity when deciding to stay an extra night in Varadero. Its an interesting looking place, so we thought it couldnt be too bad. How wrong we were. We went to check in around 1:30 and were told check in is at 4,and the room is not ready. Realising we were going to leg it somewhere else the room was suddenly ready. We parted with our cash before walking up a set of mouldering wet stairs to the room. I felt like I was in an episode of fawlty towers. Its truly a hovel, there is nothing inviting about the place at all. You have to ask for a remote for the air con, I think they are hoping you wont use it. We went out shortly after checking in and all the staff were either sleeping on the couches near reception or using their phones. There was no effort on their part at all. Do yourself a favour, stay anywhere else

Don't Stay Here, But Stop By for a Drink (or five)!

It looks like from the reviews that this isn't a great place to stay overnight. We were in the area and stopped by to check out the live music coming from the courtyard. We took a table near the non-functional fountain that was loaded with music equipment and wires.
We had the pina coladas (which had added caramel to them, nice touch) and the Mojitos. Both drinks were fantastic and the beers were cold. The bartenders were very welcoming and attentive. As this was in Varadero, the drinks were a tad pricier than usual (4-5 CUC per cocktail) but made up for it with the live music (band with a guy in short shorts and combat boots singing Bon Jovi songs, was actually pretty awesome) and great drinks.

"Todo Queso" Mold in the Room and in the shower

The hotel is really bad, everything is broken, staff is very unfriendly. When we wanted to take our breakfast, my friend was falling down because the chair was broken. I had hairs in my omlett and the plates were dusty!! But the worst was the room: the whole sealing was covered in mold and the beds were stinking! Mold was also all over the bathroom, which was also dirty with hairs from our predecessor!
