The Republic of Djibouti is a country situated in the Horn of Africa or Somali Peninsula, located in Northeast Africa. The country is bordered to the north by Eritrea, to the east by the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, to the southeast by Somalia, and to the west and south by Ethiopia. Djibouti can be divided into three regions: the mountain ranges of the north, and the coastal plains and volcanic plateaus in the central and south. The capital and largest city is Djibouti city.

Moucha Island - Moucha Island is a small coral island at the centre of the Gulf of Tadjoura, about 15 kilometres south off the coast of Djibouti. It is the largest island in the Djibouti Region, surrounded by smaller Maskali Islands, some islets, and a coral reef. Moucha Island is a popular holiday destination in the country, well-known for its excellent diving sites. To visit Moucha Island, take a 45-minute boat ride from the port of Djibouti town.

Day Forest National Park - The Day Forest National Park, also called Forêt du Day National Park, is a national park located in the Goda Mountains. The park protects the largest forest in Djibouti, with a total area of about 13,900 hectares. Its most important feature is the stand of coniferous trees called Juniperus procera or the East African juniper.
