The Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is one of China’s busiest airports in terms of passenger traffic and there are three main areas and terminals here - Main Terminal, Area A and Area B. If you are here to check-in for your flight, it will take place at the Main Terminal and the two concourses are where the boarding gates and baggage reclaim areas are.

Complimentary WiFi is provided at the airport and baggage storage areas are also available for a nominal fee. If you intend to stay over at the airport, do take note that most restaurants and eateries will close by 11:00PM. There are a number of paid airport lounges that you can gain access to but the bulk of them close before 9:30PM. Located approximately 28km from the city center, there are a number of affordable options that will take you from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to the city. For the cheapest and possibly one of the most convenient methods, hop on the train on Metro Line 3 - get off at Tiyu Xilu Metro Station after approximately 50 minutes and the journey should not cost more than SGD 3.00 (USD 2.20). If you are here on business or simply want the most fuss-free method that will take you to the hotel, taxis are available at the airport for approximately SGD 28.00 (USD 20.30) - it should take approximately 45 to 50 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
