Moroni is a small city in Comoros that is filled with a handful of famous attractions like the Grand Mosque du Vendredi which is probably the most famous landmark in Comoros. For a taste of the local life, make a trip down to the Volo Volo market where you will be able to pick up handmade souvenirs, handmade tools and locally-grown spices. If you are up for an adventure, the Karthala Volcano is located not too far away from the city but this is one of the world’s most dangerous volcanoes and travellers are advised to have all the necessary training and equipment for it. Lastly, be sure to sample the local fare by the sea because you can’t say you have been to a city without trying the traditional cuisine here in Moroni.
