My heart is still on a beach somewhere in St. Lucia. Although known as a honeymoon destination, the island is still great for solo travelers or even families.
I visited St. Lucia a few years ago with my family, and honestly, it has been my place of paradise ever since! It is my favourite of the three Caribbean islands I have visited, it's like heaven on earth! I explored the rain forest, went horse riding, danced with the locals to locals songs, experienced a cocoa plant plantation, visited a volcano, went white river rafting. I look back and I truly adore St. Lucia. Could not recommend it enough.
We visited St Lucia on 20/02/2015 and used StLuciaCruiseTours.com airport taxi service and it was amazing. The driver was very knowledgeable of the island and made plenty scenic stops. I would recommend them for all your St Lucia Airport Transfers and make sure you walk with your camera as the ride to your hotel can seem like a St Lucia Shuttle Service. We Love you St Lucia Cruise Tours!
Although some areas are a bit touristy, especially when a cruise ship comes in, this island is a charming slice of paradise. Stay at Calabash Cove for a romantic, secluded experience and be sure to visit the street party every Friday night in Castrilles. If you are willing to step off the beaten path, St Lucia has a vibrant culture, amazing people and beautiful landscape framed by the imposing Pitons.
Saint Lucia at 15,000 ft. Probably the most authentic and beautiful island in the Caribbean Sea.
St. Lucia is a tropical paradise that needs to be experienced. It's lush, with beautiful friendly people, delicious cuisine and countless activities for every one to enjoy.
This was a lovely island. The beaches were great. The sulfur spring was very interesting. The city is very Caribbean in nature and the people lovely. There are lots of resorts. The and the cassava bake was are interesting to the palate.
My favorite part about swimming in St Lucia was not only the warm water but the access to alcohol in the ocean! It's one of the prettiest islands too!
St. Lucia is something different for everyone...for someone who loved and now lives in Hawaii...If I was to choose one island in the Caribbean that reminded me of Hawai'i Nei...it would be St. Lucia. I fell in love with this island! This island looks like it belong in the Pacific Ocean between Hawaii and Tahiti...The Rain forests and Mountainous Ridge lines are epic...The HIKING BLOWS YOU AWAY! The beaches are beautiful here and the Food and service are top notch. My issue with this island is the sales pitches and resorts, but o well...you can't win everything, but if you are an adventurer and love the outdoors and the activities you can do there...this is the island to enjoy.
St Lucia is a great place to go for everyone from the honeymooners to the family vacationers. This island has great beaches, water sports, nature hikes, world class spas and amazing local cuisine. Don't just stay in the hotels though, get out and see the little towns for an even better adventure!
