Description
Most public gardens close just about the time most people are winding down and would love nothing more than to stroll through peaceful gardens. These 74 hectares of admission-free botanical gardens ... Read more
are different in that they stay open until midnight every night, allowing you to wander the fragrant gardens by moonlight. Bird lovers will enjoy the 5am opening time. The most popular feature, and only area that does charge a fee, is the national orchid garden which houses more than 1,000 species and 2,000 hybrids of the exotic flowers in five different exhibition venues.

Beautiful, huge green space with numerous areas to explore. When I was there, it was vibrant with people exercising, walking dogs, and relaxing.

Botanic Gardens is one of the huge manmade gardens near Orchard road. You can take a morning walk or spend an hour or two here. You would be surprised to see how they’ve grown a rainforest inside the gardens.

Singapore botanical gardens is lush, and full of other mini gardens, including the orchid garden and ginger garden. The garden is huge and perfect for a whole day of exploring, but be prepared to do a lot of walking.

scenic walk in this huge garden with wide range of exotic plants and trees. A day is not enough to complete the whole place. Though it was drizzling the entire day but it was still great!

Great place to jogging and know more about nature.... Quite fun when you realise some of the plants that you've seen in normal days are very useful and with their own history

Nice leisure stroll through beautiful gardens.
We spend three hours onsite walking the grounds and enjoying the well kept parks. Worth the morning trip with lots of cafe's onsite.

Tip: if you are able to, don't take the entrance from the MRT because that's where all the people will be coming from. Along the opposite side (you can ask the taxi driver to drop you off in the back gate) you'll be able to enjoy the wider part of the gardens without all the tourist information counters. Entrance is free but there is also a nice wine shop inside

Lovely gardens to walk through. Be sure to visit the National Orchid Garden or pack a picnic and attend a free concert at the Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage on some weekends.

Singapore's first UNESCO World Heritage Site is free to all visitors, especially those who want to appreciate the lush greenery that can be found in the centre of Singapore. Start at the Botanic Gardens MRT entrance and work your way to the other entrance that leads to Singapore's shopping belt, right next to Gleneagles Hospital. It's open from 5 am to 12 midnight and consists of many mini gardens within, such as the the rainforest, the ginger garden and the Jacob. Ballas Children's Garden. There are many bronze sculptures scattered throughout the premises and there are also many open green spaces which are perfect to have a picnic at.

Listed as a UNESCO heritage site since July 2015. A serene place to be to calm myself from the city life. The flowers are so pretty that they make me happy.
