Hotel Griffon isn’t a loud, raucous place to stay, it’s a quiet boutiquey hotel with a friendly staff and free coffee, tea, and wifi. The hotel is an easy walk from the Embarcadero Muni and the Ferry Building and is so close to the Bay Bridge that some rooms even overlook the bay. The Hotel Griffon doesn’t have a gym, but guests can use the YMCA pool and gym next door. While it’s nothing incredibly special, the location is great, it’s modern, clean, and a great place to rest your head after a long day of business meetings or exploring the city for fun.

Located around the corner from the Ferry Building and at the edge of the financial district, the luxurious Hotel Griffon makes a fantastic base to explore San Francisco. Rooms are a tad small but well appointed, some with stunning Bay Bridge views. The staff is friendly and the super popular Perry’s restaurant is adjacent to the lobby.

This is a nice little hotel with welcoming staff and an awesome location. It is one block away from The Embarcadero (the avenue that goes along the bay), and it is within walking distance of the SoMa neighborhood. If you are traveling for work and need to be near downtown, but want to avoid the noise and hassle of that area, this quiet spot will suit you.

The hotel offers rooms with a bay view; also, there are rooms with a terrace, and others with a view of the city. There is a nice restaurant/ bar on the ground floor, and you are close to many other food options. I loved that they always had coffee, tea and more in the lobby and their eco-friendly bath amenities and robes (they are a certified green hotel.)

The Hotel Griffon is an elegant yet charming hotel located right on the Embarcadero and is a great location for business travelers. They offer room service from Perry's, the lobby bar and restaurant, and provide a decent package of amenities: toiletries, tv, free wifi, etc. Parking was on the high side of what I've seen at $45 per night for valet. This is one of the few hotels where recently prices are actually cheaper because the hotel's visitors are largely businesspeople, while people often come on weekends to "get away from the kids." The hotel is also historical: it was built in 1906 and survived the earthquake. You can also see the crack the earthquake caused from an exposed brick in the lobby. Though they do not include a breakfast, they include fruit and coffee for free, and despite their lack of fitness facilities, they direct visitors to the YMCA nearby that is either $5 per use or can be free for some visitors at the corporate rate.

This is a great boutique hotel in an amazing location, perfect for either business or leisure. The location is on the embarcadero, right across the street from the San Francisco Bay. What that means is you can walk out the door and not only see the Bay Bridge, but walk to tons of restaurants, the Ferry Plaza building, the Exploratorium, the Financial District and lots of SF's public transport. The rooms were small but funky, with exposed brick walls and a cool vibe. Beds were comfortable. There is not much of a lobby, and no parking lot. I would stay here again.
