This place, man... This place... I'm from Mississippi, so I know Southern cuisine, particularly biscuits and fried chicken. And it pains me to say that Pine State Biscuits has both of those things that would stack up against the fiercest competition down south. Go and try the Reggie Deluxe (add pimiento cheese if you're feeling frisky), and cancel your afternoon plans because a nap will be on the way.

I’ve never had biscuits and gravy this good, and I was RAISED in the Midwest, y’all. The coffee they offered was bomb, too; go get in line.

Best biscuits in Portland, I ordered Regina since I wasn't too hungry. We also ordered biscuit, sausage, and gravy. Their gravy is sooo good.

The best biscuits, fried chicken and gravy in Portland. Little wonder that this place was featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Great way to start a lazy Sunday.

Biscuit heaven. There's biscuits under all that gravy! Just got to dive in and find it. A good variety of biscuit sandwiches that will set you right to start your day or recover from the night before.

Love this place! Awesome food! So good I will stand in line for 2 hours to order and then stand around for 30 more minutes waiting for a table to open up so I can sit down and eat this deliciousness!

If you're in Portland and feigning for breakfast/brunch, Pine State Biscuits is where it's at! They have a couple of locations in Portland. There will be a line out the door no matter the weather, so bring a jacket. I made the mistake of jogging here without one and was pretty goosebumpy by the time I got into the restaurant. It's quite small, but they do have an outdoor area with coverage, so you should be able to stay dry.

This is one of those places where you pay first, get a number, and someone brings the food to whatever table you happen to snatch up. I opted for the Reggie Deluxe ($9) after seeing countless pictures of bacon, fried chicken, and egg between two buttermilk biscuits and topped with sausage gravy. Yes, a heart attack on a plate. Those with high blood pressure should probably stay away from this plate of deliciousness. The sandwich stayed together pretty well. I wish the biscuits were softer though. They didn't seem fresh when I cut into it, but the Reggie Deluxe itself was pretty damn good. I also ordered some fries ($3) that were nice and crispy. They have a water station, so you can refill as much as you'd like.

They have some pretty tasty food here, and I would definitely come back again to try other food items. Service is with a smile and the staff is pretty friendly. Credit cards are accepted.

I grew up south of Portland, and never had a chance to check this place out until I moved out of state. Now every time I come home to see the fam, Pine State is a staple. Never stray away from the reggie deluxe and a Stumptown coldbrew.

This was my favorite restaurant in Portland. Maybe it was due to the fact that it was totally unhealthy and my inner beast wanted to break out! Or, it was because signature Reggie Biscuit Sandwich was voted one of the top 10 sandwiches in Portland! Anyhow, the Reggie was amazing!!! Featuring a fried chicken under two crispy/chewy biscuits, smothered in gravy, it was delicious and satisfied my growling stomach, eliciting alarms that it was time to hit the gym to work off the enormous amounts of calories that were just consumed with delight!!! Everything here is self-serve, so enjoy your biscuit sandwich while getting your own water! Southern-style food never tasted so good!!!

One of those Portland restaurants so good that people are willing to wait in long lines for these yummy biscuits.

We heard that there were lines out the door and around the corner at all of
their locations. We must have arrived at an off hour, because we walked right in and ordered. Yummy chicken and biscuit breakfast (the Reggie), also they had good hash browns. Loved watching them make the homemade biscuits.

This place knows what's up when it comes to breakfast. Eat here. Even if there's a line. Wait. It'll be worth it.

Best biscuit I've had so far IN MY LIFE. Yes, that's saying something. First bite of a "Reggie" biscuit - a fried chicken topped with gravy - and it was FULL of flavor, great execution on every aspect of the bite. Also shared an egg, bacon and cheese biscuit, which was also very good, but the Reggie definitely took the cake.

Crazy huge biscuits piled with cheese, fried chicken, veggies or sausage are a calorie-bomb way to start off your morning, maybe before heading out of town to do some hiking along the scenic Columbia River Gorge. Not cheap, but definitely filling.

This restaurant has been on the Food Network. Famous breakfasts, not for the calorie-conscious. Try the "Reggie".
