I stayed in mumbai and I am an konkani
So I know about it better than many people
I love it a lot
Less costly and best for all people for everything
Home for lakhs of people searching for jobs from all over world
Great place to understand different culture, Mumbai gives place to all. The commercial hun of India.

One of the busiest cities we have ever been in, but everyone seems to be ok with it. I think it is best to go on a tour to make sure you see a lot and are able to get through traffic.

Ah Mumbai! My entry point and introduction to the magical country of India. What a gloriously busy place filled with such rich history and culture and colour. This buzzing city never slows down and can be quite an overwhelming experience but oh so worth it!

One of the best city in the world and financial capital of INDIA, Mumbai is visited by many tourists from all over the world. Mumbai is fulfilled by coastline, Temples, historic places, nightlife, luxury and many more.

The world’s third largest city, with a population of over 17 million, Mumbai is also home to the Bollywood film industry.
From ocean promenades where you can linger to watch glorious sunsets, to spiritual focus points and exciting night life - Mumbai has so much more to offer than the casual visitor passing through might realise.
Mumbai is a place where extremes merge into each other, and divisions blur. It's a multicultural melting pot of different cultures, religions and languages living in close proximity to each other, with an overriding tolerant atmosphere and a warm friendly heart.
It's a city where the very rich and destitute live side by side, where dogs can sleep peacefully in city streets dodged by frantic autorickshaw drivers. Mumbai is endlessly fascinating to me, and also has pretty perfect weather!

A must while in India. Interesting contrast to Delhi. Be sure to catch a Bollywood film while you're in town :)

To be honest with u , Mumbai is big city with lots of different places and peoples !! Noise pollution is in highest position which made me crazy !!!

For many people, Mumbai is the first glimpse of they'll get of India -- crowded, polluted, noisy, jumbled, confusing, fragrant, stinking, rich and poor and completely itself. If you're entering via this route, keep this in mind: Bombay is NOT India - it's an own-world, a vibrant and buzzing and intoxicating and frustrating place, like any other city of more than 15 million people. So: let's get to what's good:
(1) Great beaches (have some chaat at Chowpatty)!
(2) Cool museums (Price of Wales Museum has some serious treasures and a great audio-tour)
(3) Awesome nightlife (party with Bollywood stars, if your wallet will stretch that far)
(4) The Mumbai Harbor and the Elephanta Caves (take the tour from the Gateway of India - it rocks).
(5) Fabulous food (Bombay duck, fabulous South Indian dosas, fine biryanis, and amazing Goan seafood).
There's nothing you can do to prepare you, so pack some patience and a sense of the absurd and jump in with both feet -- it's the only way to live like a real Mumbaiker!

Diwali is a festival of lights in India and since Mumbai is a melting pot of the nation where every culture mixes together and celebrates the festival it is here that you can see a burst of colors, sparkle, fireworks and festive delicacies on every street and homes.
