Summer brings crowds to Los Angeles, booking up hotels along the coast and restaurants in the city. From September to May the area is less crowded, and the air less smoggy, though you may encounter the hot, dry ... Read more
Santa Ana winds. Headed to the beach? Don't go in June when the 'June Gloom' makes the beaches cold and foggy for most of the morning. The coast is always a bit cooler than inland (head to Santa Monica and not Hollywood if you want a breeze). Whatever time of year you go, however, you can leave your down coat at home.

One of the best beaches in SoCal!!! Finding parking here is super easy!!! (Just don’t park with your tail in, or you will get a ticket). It’s clean, and not over crowded.

I have yet to find a beach in the LA area that I haven't liked. People were attempting to surf when we were here, though the waves just weren't breaking right. There are also lots of beach volleyball courts here, along with signs proclaiming Manhattan Beach as the home of Beach Volleyball.

Manhattan Beach is one of my favorite beaches in LA area. I could spend at least half a day here just relaxing on a nice sunny day.

I love coming to Manhattan beach pier. It's beautiful and relaxing. Smaller than some of the other pier around, but it's got lots of restaurants around Manhattan beach, so there is lots todo.

One of the best beaches in Southern California. The water is clear, the Sand clean and there are plenty of great places near the pier to eat and drink. Play volleyball, swim in the ocean, this is worth relaxing at for the perfect summer weekend.

Manhattan Beach is an amazing place to hang out, the atmosphere is pretty nice, a lot of beautiful people and it's a great place to play volleyball because of the amount of courts

Rooftop picnics at beachhouses are extremely relaxing and rejuvenating. Then doing a little yoga while watching the gorgeous surfers before hitting the pier or fishbar. Love this city! Parking is tough but after you finally find parking, you forget all about it.

Well-known to surfers for its big waves, Manhattan Beach has grown out of its racist past when the largely African American population of nearby Bruce's Beach was forcibly evicted through a series of eminent domain laws enacted by the city council and where the Ku Klux Klan harassed African Americans, even at sections of the beach designated and reserved for African Americans. With its proximity to LAX Manhattan Beach is home base to a number of pilots and flight attendants.

Manhattan Beach has grown up since the days of a lazy old surf town. The streets up on Manhattan Beach Blvd are lined with eateries a foodie and a shopper would love to explore. There is something for everyone here. The beach itself is beautiful to hang out at
