attractions, but the state capital, which was built back in 1932, is still the tallest building in the area at a somewhat humble 400 feet tall. Not that that's a bad thing, it's just a example of how this city is still very much small town at heart. Lincoln, and pretty much the entire state, comes to a grinding halt when the always competitive Nebraska Corn Husker football team plays at Memorial Stadium. With a capacity of over 80,000, this stadium swells to be the third largest "city" in the state during the big game. Lincoln is home to lots of outdoor activities to enjoy outside it's limits, and there are a number of gardens and museums to explore within the city if you choose to do so.

There's not a whole lot to attract a tourist to come specifically to Lincoln. However, having said that if you are in town there are several fun things to do. It is a very nice place to live with pretty low living costs, and very friendly people

LIncoln is a surprisingly trendy and wonderful town to visit. It has a very active downtown, pedestrian area with many local breweries and small cafes. The university in town contributes a lot to the feeling of the place, attracting people from hundreds of miles away for every home football game. There is a nice farmer's and flea market on Saturdays that is very enjoyable. The Speedway Museum alone is worth a visit to Lincoln. Cool, eclectic, unpretentious and fabulous. Great town.

Lincoln is a prettier city than I expected it to be and larger too. In a way, it reminded me of home in Georgia. The capitol building is among my favorites in the country. Good eats here too.

The Haymarket District is really a nice area, with red brick buildings of the beginning of the century and some nice cafes and restaurants. It is a perfect stop for one night. It is a really alive city.
