One of the most famous sights in Girona is that of the colorful red bridge that connects the new city with the Old Town. It can be seen from other bridges and various points along the river, and the views from there are lovely. A must!

One of most favorite photograph object in Girona for it could recall the global hear-throbbed Eiffel Tower in Paris. People named this bridge after its designer Gustav Eiffel. The distinctive color of the bridge which was built in 1877 sure gives beautiful contrast for its surrounding Middle Ages structures.

This is probably the most famous site in Girona. It was designed by Gustave Eiffel, right before the construction of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. It's a pedestrian bridge over the Onyar River.

The city of Girona is sliced in two by the Rio Onyar making bridges a necessary feature for daily life. Of the eleven bridges in Girona, the most famous by far is the Eiffel Bridge. This lattice-work of red steel that spans the river was designed by the man behind the Eiffel Tower. Strolling the bridge late at night is a rite of passage and a visit to the city isn't complete without snapping a few photos of this iconic structure.

Girona is a beautiful historic city where rivers cross and meet. One of my favorite activities while visiting Girona, was to explore the rivers, the bridges and see the colorful houses by the shore.

I only found out later this bridge was actually designed by Mr Eiffel, the same person who made the Eiffel tower in Paris. If you're a photo fanatic, don't forget to bring your camera with you. Sunset and sunrise will turn all the colors even more incredible!

This is a cool little bridge that is great for taking pictures up and down it of all the colorful picturesque buildings that run along the river. It's actually one of 11 bridges in Girona and this one is where the four rivers meet. It's also red which adds to the great pics you can take of it.
