The Liss Ard cloud garden, designed by James Turrell, is unlike anything else in the world and is definitely worth visiting. About three minutes outside of skibbereen, Liss Ard has very comfortable rooms and is popular with those looking for a secluded getaway. Although there are no signs saying so, this is a private establishment and is not technically open to the public, so it might be wise to call ahead.
