only. Over time, it has capitalized on the tourist market, offering exclusive and pricey souvenirs and designer brands for shoppers. Tucked away from the main street are various courtyards which offer local food at more affordable prices. The street is an experience all on its own, but also connects two other tourist attractions. Vaci Utca is situated between Nagycsamok, or Great Market Hall, and Vörösmarty Square.

Hungary’s shopping street. Even in the communist era this street was known for luxury shops. Novadays you will find a lot of gift shops and all the big fast fashion brands here (Zara, Mango, H&m win an amazing historical building).

As a local I don't recommend you this street. There are much better restaurants and pubs in the city than here. You should visit maximum the souvenir shops.

One of the most famous pedestrian shopping streets in Hungary. In about 30 minutes you can walk all its' way. long Bars, restaurants, souvenir shops, and even Thai massage parlours can be found here! What I liked the most are the beautiful buildings, really well kept :)

Cute stalls and lots of brand name shopping as well. Some stalls were open late at night serving foods. Stalls sold a nice variety of items.

Lots of shops and places to eat - mostly targeting tourists. Guys - be careful about girls that approach you asking if you want to get a drink...it is a scam.

Oldest shopping street and pedestrian area in the downtown, 2 kilometers long from the famous Gerbeaud Café on Vörösmarty tér till the Grand Central Market hall on Fővám tér. Shops of leading brands, cafés, snack places. In the middle of the street at Kigyó utca turn to Március 15. tér (square) to the Danube side make some photos about Elisabeth bridge and take a sit in the afternoon at KIOSK for a drink or snack in summer afternoons or evenings.

Vaci Utca is a pedestrian street near the Pest waterfront in downtown Budapest. It's where you'll find many of the city's finest restaurants and boutiques and one of the best places for a nighttime stroll.

Vaci Utca is one of Budapest's main pedestrian thoroughfares and a great place for shopping. It can get quite busy during the summer months, but at any other time it's easy to take your time and stroll down the street. There's a lot of international brands - BCBG, Hugo Boss, Zara - mixed with some Hungarian stores as well. The cafes are also great, especially when you can sit outside, but they do run on the more expensive side.

The main street, you can't ignore.
Great place for making change with your money,
or to eat (Gerbaud, up there, Fatal at the middle, or the Great Market)

Vaci Street is one of the most popular streets in Budapest. It is the oldest shopping street in the city and, since it is pedestrian, one of the busiest places for tourists. It runs between Vorosmarty Square and the Central Market and is full of shops and restaurants.
Although now it is somewhat touristy and the souvenirs are somewhat more expensive than in other parts of the city, many of the buildings that compose it date from the 18th century and there is usually a very good atmosphere, both day and night.

Váci Street is the heart of Budapest, which runs from the Vorosmarti Square to the Elizabeth Bridge. The street acquired such status in the mid-19th century when the original small buildings and small shops were replaced with buildings in the neoclassical and eclectic style. Here are located the most fashionable residential buildings, major department stores, luxury hotels and an international shopping center, which makes Vaci streets another symbol of Budapest.
