If you like Improv, you'll love this Asylum. It's rolicking good fun, if a little off color. Prepare to be delighted.

Genuinely funny people in a charmingly small space. Best improv show I've seen.

New York City

Located in the basement of a CVS Pharmacy in the North End, the Improv Asylum is classic Boston—sarcastic, off-the-cuff, raw comedy. Locals Paul D’Amato, Chet Harding, and Norm Laviolette, who got their start as an improv troupe at the Hard Rock Café, took a chance on the idea that a Second City–style venue had a place in Beantown. They opened the Asylum in 1998, and it’s proven to be a hit, offering both live improv and sketch comedy with a consistently talented cast.

Come here for a fun time and constant laughter throughout the 2 hour entertainment. The Improv Asylum casts are extremely talented, they do a mix of sketches and improv comedy from materials gathered from the audience. Great entertainment choice for an after dinner activity at North End.

This show was pretty hilarious and I'm so happy I had the chance to go. Unfortunate that I wasn't able to stay until the very end due to a late dinner reservation at L'Espalier but it was just hysterical as someone had mentioned.

This is basically like comedy sportz, they play a lot of improv games and ask the audience for suggestions for the improv they are doing. The cast is very passionate about what they do and are very lively hence putting on a great show. The bar outside is not bad and it's not too crowded on a night basis so you won't find yourself waiting in enormous lines for the bathroom or the bar.

The seating is VERY intimate which I love and they have a lot of audience involvement which makes it more fun than if you were to just stalely sit there and watch someone else have all the fun.

This is totally worth your money!

Great improv club in the North End. With no shortage of great restaurants in the same area, make a whole evening out of it.
