Staying at the Disneyland Hotel is a treat. Every staff member I encountered had the Disney charm. Loved my deluxe room as it was super spacious. Easily accessible to downtown Disney and the theme parks. Quality toiletries. Parking prices vary.

If you're not local, I recommend booking a stay here to enjoy your Disneyland/California Two Day Park Hopper adventure. There's three towers - all of which are still part of the DIsneyland Hotel. I personally stayed at the frontier tower.

Check-in process was smooth. Each individual on the guest list is given their own personal key with pre-printed names. Perfect souvenir if you're a Disney fanatic. Service is immediate and the beds were clean and comfortable. There's a pool divided by sections - one for children to play at that's super shallow and another one that's more for adults to just swim and sunbathe. There's also a unique water slide good for all ages.

A whole experience for the family. Not just a whole hotel. Fairly expensive but if you can swing it your family will have a great time.

It's such a nice and relaxing place to eat at the Disneyland hotel. It's called Tangora Terrace. It's inexpensive and gives off the calm vibes. It's right next to the pool and they play Hawaiian tunes. (You might even spot a Disneyland cat!)

The Disneyland Hotel is just a whole damn thing and a treat to boot. The rooms are on point, the property boasts the best hotel bar in the word (hi, Trader Sam's!) and the grounds are impeccably maintained, with quiet little books and crannies (who doesn't love a cranny) scattered around for moments away from those horrible children everyone seems to have.

The idea of Disneyland may give some people a case of hives, but if you are able to go during the week and stay on the resort, it makes life a lot easier. The Disneyland Hotel is clean, convenient and has nice rooms/bathrooms.

I think everyone wants to stay at a Disney Hotel... there are so many perks. You get to go into Disneyland or California Adventure early, free workout classes inside the park, Disney assorted condiments, and of course, the Disney service... and being SO close to Disneyland.

My husband had a convention here and so we stayed at this hotel. We stayed at the Frontier Tower where the bottom floor was Frontierland themed. The rooms are essentially all the same and has the awesome headboard.

ROOM 2469:
We got the king size bed with the headboard that has lit up fireworks decorations on it. With a press of a button on the lamp next to the bed, you get creepy children's music with fireworks lights coming on. It's pretty and haunting at the same time.

The room has a couch, so another person could sleep there after a drunken night.

We also asked for the balcony suite. We got a great view of the fireworks.

The weird thing about having a corner suite is that we had to go through two doors instead of our one room door. We shared a door with the room across from us and then to our room door. It was a bit of a inconvenience, but still... if I have to have that to get a balcony, so be it.

The room had a bunch of hidden Mickeys - sink handle, shower handle, lamp hands, on the lamp shades, etc.

In order to participate in the walk in Disneyland or any workouts, you have to sign up EARLY. Like a day early or even an hour before.

My allergies were acting up at this hotel. I know they cleaned my room like crazy but I kept having allergy problems. They may need to change the filters.

Overall... it's Disney.

Nothing says Christmas like a real gingerbread house and a visit to Disneyland. Great holiday events for the whole family.

A stay at the Disneyland Hotel is perfect for those who are wishing to experience Disney's renowned guest service in comfortable surroundings.

Having recently undergone a transformation; I love all the new additions and subtle touches at the hotel - from the Monorail Pool to Tangaroa Terrace and the very popular Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar.

Rooms at the Disneyland Hotel are of a good size and come complete with all the modern conveniences needed; including complimentary wi-fi access!

Not only is the hotel ideal for guests visiting the Disney parks, but also as a base to exploring more of southern California. You'll also find it is a handy location for business travellers attending conferences either at the hotel or at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The quintessential Disney experience...Disneyland Hotel is branded, stamped, and steeped in Mickey and Friends, but you can't refuse it. It's the perfect complement to a day (or two or more) at the Disney Parks, and kids will have almost as much fun at the hotel as they do there. Plus, the proximity to the parks means you don't have far to go after a long day of trekking. The choice of themed towers - Adventure, Fantasy, or Frontier - make for an immersive experience for the whole family, and can I just say that the water slides are equally as much fun for adults as the youngins? The hotel is basically Disneyland 2.0. Have at it.

I am actually rating 3.5 but rounding up ...

I have stayed here for meetings and such, and while it does need renovating, there is something very nostalgic here.

Part of what I love is talking to all the tourists and seeing all of it from their perspective. Having been coming here for everything as long as I have ... you tend to lose some of that.

Del Mar

Went a few years ago and loved it Kids loved breakfast overlooking the park. Charactor Dinners was good. Special treats were left on the kids pillows.

There is a reason Disneyland is called "The Happiest Place On Earth".
For such a tourist trap the service is good.
The rooms well appointed and perfect for
families. Plus when you stay at this hotel you can easily board the monorail for direct access into the park.
I dont have children but would absolutely reccomend this hotel to my clients with children because of the convienience.
The monorail has a pick-up at the hotel that takes you directly into the park.
The rooms while not luxurious are not lacking in any amenities.
The only negative might be the price this is not for the budget concious

Come on, how can you not like the Disneyland hotel. The bedframe has lights and music!! The pool is awesome, with water slide, and the food here is amazing. You see so many characters walking around, you're next to Downtown Disney for nighttime activities, a walk to the theme parks, and of course it also has a convention center for all those business men. The staff is very friendly and super nice. But again, it's Disneyland. This is definitely the happiest hotel on earth.

I'm looking forward to the new renovations. I hear they're going for a classic/old school feel which is pretty exciting for me.

San Ramon

as soon as we got off I5 we noticed all of the new work that had been done around the disney resort. it has been about 10 years since my last visit but they have sure done alot of new things to make this almost like las vegas. it was amazing to see all of the new things everywhere. it was almost a maze to even get to the hotel.

as soon as we pulled in we were greeted by the valet and they told us what we were going to do and they grabbed our bags. with our package we had free parking for the 4 days we would be staying there. we were told where to park or valet parking would be another $17 per day. it was pretty hectic around there so alex told us he would park the car for us in the special valet parking without the per day charge. wow! this was so nice of him. alex definitely went out of his way to accommodate us so we slipped him $20 and went to check in.

once we got into line we were escorted to a new window to avoid the wait in line. we were given our disney package with tickets, collectible pins, a limited coin, discount tickets and preferred seating to attractions throughout the park. we headed up to our room on the 14th floor and into the room. the room was a standard room so it was nothing to special but still better than it was back in the day. unfortunately we were on the other side not facing the park so we had a great view of the employee parking lot. whoop di do! looking down was pretty freaky a well. we were so high and really nothing could stop anyone from jumping if they were stupid enough. ya just never know!

i didn't like the fact that the adjoining room was so close within only a door you could hear everything they did if they were in the washroom. and if there are excited kids up at 6am ready to go on rides and singing it's a small world over and over it can really drive you nuts! the beds were very comfy with plenty of pillows. i slept pretty good but most of the time i was too excited to sleep. having the bed next to the window cold make things cold at times but with the heater in the room felt good at times. that thermostat really heated the room up fast and at time made it to hot. they had free wifi so it was great to be able to check my laptop and ipod for mail and surf the internet. the maid service was top notch and always left everything perfect and clean. of course the rooms were pretty much only for sleeping because i had so much to do.

as far as the rest of the resort goes it's very nice. the gift shops are very cute, very nice places to eat and best of all just a hop skip and a jump to downtown disney. it was very nice to walk to all of the shops and then just have your hotel right there. they give you so many things to do you need a week but i did it all. sure they have other great places to stay in the disney resort but you can't get as classic as the disneyland hotel.

steakhouse 55 restaurant
goofy's kitchen

friendly staff
koi fish

noisy neighbors
noisy parking lot with horns all day and night
arcade- avoid this arcade at all costs unless it's 1993 when you go. the games are old which could be good but they didn't work well at all. mrs. pac man will eat up your tokens and then when you do get a credit you only get one pac man. the controls wouldn't move in the direction you wanted. air hockey is 4 tokens and the puck was so old and scuffed it didn't float.

Love this hotel. I hear that they're renovating the pool area to be spectacular. It used to have a Peter Pan theme and there was a waterfall you could walk under with koi fish in a pond--that may be gone as well.
The location is excellent if you plan to go to the Disney parks or downtown Disney area. It's all within walking distance.

Los Angeles

What's not to love? Well, it is busy & seems like a constant flow of people, but so easy to access the park. Rooms are clean & staff is very nice.

San Jose

Wow... memories indeed.

This is vaguely exactly how I remember from over 20 odd years ago..
it looks as though they gave the old place a fresh coat of colors... though everything looks to be a touch smaller.. and I still get lost when I go around..
but nearly as I remember in every other way.

And its a lot better now with downtown disney well within walking distance on the horizon.
