Jean Bernstein created the perfect Café-bakery over twenty-five years ago that caught my attention and made my decision to plant my roots in this, (then) small dusty village. Still is the BEST!!!

I always love to go to Flying Star. Whether it is to study with friends for a test, a first date, or Sunday brunch with the fam, it is always a top choice. The only complaint that I've always have is that they need to step up their chili and Mexican food game because it's the stuff that a lot of gringos like but other than that their Mac and cheese is to die for and their desserts are top notch.

There are several Flying Stars around NM, but this one if particular is great!
Lovely atmosphere - perfect for working or sitting around all day. Big indoor and outdoor seating areas, friendly staff, fresh and tasty food and drink.

Perhaps a little pricey, but totally fun place to hang out, read a book, grab a coffee and putz around on the internet, or actually get some work done if you are so inclined.

Whenever we make an Albuquerque run my co-workers always request treats from here. Fabulous bakery, enormous breakfast and lunch portions (seriously bring a friend and plan to share). Fun atmosphere and often quite crowded-- especially the main one on central. There are several smaller branches (the one on Central is hte best) which have a more limited selection.
