Best Time to Visit Miami
Summer and autumn are great times to avoid going to Miami - the city is more hurricane-prone from the months of June to December, and also suffers from a suffocatingly hot and humid climate. On top of all that, rain is also highly likely during these seasons. As such, tourists are advised to visit in the winter months of December to February, when the weather averages a pleasant 21°C, as well as the spring months of March to May. If you intend to visit in the earlier half of the year, though, be sure to make your hotel arrangements early as rooms run out fast in these seasons.
Things to do in Miami
If in Miami, a visit to Miami Beach is a must. Situated on its own island parallel to the mainland, Miami Beach is connected to the rest of Miami via bridges and boasts a long, gorgeous stretch of white sandy coast. The beachside areas are also lined with tons of trendy bars, restaurants, boutique hotels, cafes and shops to facilitate tourists’ holiday experiences, giving the whole region a reputation as a Party Beach district. Drop by the aptly-nicknamed American Riviera - otherwise known as South Beach - for a sunbath and coconut drink, go shopping along Collins Avenue, then finish off your Miami Beach vacation with a drive along the Art Deco District and scenic Ocean Drive.
