These six luxury airport lounges make waiting for your flight a treat.

Skyscanner knows that being stuck in an airport is not the most rewarding use of our precious travel time, even on the best of days, and having your flight delayed just exacerbates this. However, all of those negative feelings melt away the instant you are ushered into one of these amazing luxury lounges at some of the world's busiest international airports and transit hubs. One glimpse inside and you'll see exactly why it pays to be a member.

This stunning retro-future space, a 3000 square metre retreat consisting of elegant arches and all the amenities any weary traveller could ask for, is redefining what airport luxury lounges should be. Private quarters are available for VIP and VVIP travellers, and Star Alliance Gold members along with Miles and Smiles elite members can also invite one guest along to enjoy the experience. The domed lounge spaces are cosy and comfortable without being claustrophobic; workstations equipped with iMacs and complimentary Wi-Fi are available for the working traveller, or those who are just looking to check in back home.

For entertainment, there is a stunning variety of activities to choose from, such as a full-sized billiards table, reading room and library, play zones for junior travellers, and even a golf simulator to get some swing practice in. Be sure to sample the lounge’s dining options, as gourmet caterers Do & Co. always have something mouthwatering on offer.
