Ideal location. Very clean and welcoming hostel

Central and ideal for visiting the city.
Rooms expand and comfortable. Very cozy, com TV and air conditioning.
Cleaning of 10! Smells great all over the place.
Quiet building.
The bathroom very nice, spacious, perfect shower.
The only thing to improve is the mattress that is very uncomfortable.
Pillows and quilt very well.
We'll be back!!!
Highly recommended.

Nothing resolvable to a problem

We stayed at the hostel Nersan C/Flor Baja 5 on Friday 13 to Saturday 14 June 2025. When Friday arrived, the reception girl gave us the keys and explained that in the case of not having keys in the door also worked with code.
The hostel/board in general was very good, small but cozy room, everything very clean and very good location. The problem came when we arrived in the middle of the night after being through the capital of promenade and we arrived at the landing and realized that the key did not turn (it was probably locked inside or had locked) and realized that the code provided was not for the landing door if we the street door.
We called the reservation phone and no one picked up our phone, we rang the doorbell and the door, to see if other guests could not open, and as a last resort we called the central office phone where we were talking to a gentleman unresolved; Firstly he informed us that he was going to contact the "gatekeeper" of the Nersan and that he would call us back, after more than 10 min waiting for the call back, we called again and indicated that he was trying to get in touch and to knock on the door for other guests to open us (very unprofessional, disturb the rest of other tenants), and again to wait for his call back that did not arrive and so we were calling him more than 5 times and always getting the same answer. Already tired from the hours they were, and if you received a clear solution on your part and after calling the police as well, we decided to go to the hotel next door to see if they had rooms available as our last resort was to take a room or call a locksmith. When we returned to the landing to try one last call and proceed with what we were going to do, we decided to retest the key in case the flies and that is when it is seen that someone from the inside opened it and we were able to enter.
After the bad drink we had at night, when we woke up we spoke to the receptionist who had no idea what happened and to whom we asked for a claim sheet before the very bad attention received by the manager. Even though they have a table showing that they have claim sheets available for anyone who wishes, the receptionist could not find any and offered to go to the central offices to get them.
In short, customer service in the event of a problem is abysmal and unresolvable

Dire experience

We had a very bad experience at Hostal Nersan. Although the location is excellent, the stay left much to be desired. Photos on the website are good, but nothing further from reality when you arrive at the hostel.
It is important that you know that there is an elevator to the fourth floor, but you have to climb 12 stairs until you reach the same one.
The room was extremely small, there was barely room to open suitcases and move. The door didn’t close properly, so we had to make sure we locked it at all times because it was ajar, and we just got a key. There was no closet, only a bar of about 50 cm on the wall, insufficient to hang two people's clothes, let alone long coats. The tables were tiny (20x20 cm) and without drawers.
The towels were worn and stained, as were the bed blanket and bedspread, forcing us to buy our own sheets and towels. The walls were damaged, we even found snot stuck on one of them.
The bathroom was tiny, we barely fit two people. There was only one small glass shelf in which not a single toilet could fit, there was no hand soap, and although there were two of us, there was only one glass.
Also, there was only one free plug under the table, so we had to unplug the TV to charge the phones at once. To top it off, the last day the air conditioning stopped working and we went very cold.
The room is interior, giving a somewhat unpleasant interior courtyard. And the walls are paper, you can hear the snoring in the next room.
In summary, we do not recommend this hostel.

Pretty regular

Pretty regular.
Starting at the entrance, there are stairs to go up to the main floor where you can take the elevator.
The lights in the building were automatic, and most of the time they didn't turn on until you were inside the elevator!!!
The interior of the "hostel" which is not really a hostel, it is a pension as indicated by the plaque on its door is very small and overwhelming, you can hear everything, there was hair in the room, a lot of lint everywhere, many things broken, humidity , water in the radiator, but since there is no reception only in the morning we couldn't tell anyone.
The bed was not comfortable at all, and the pillow was more of the same.
The shower was not bad, good pressure and was in good condition, a little small, and the gel and shampoo smelled average to my taste but that's the least of it.
It has a lot to improve to be a good option.

Pleasant and central

It looks like a B&B, placed in an apartment very close to Gran Via and Royal Palace. Nicely refurbished and with a family-like reception. Room was spacious and air conditioning well placed.
No frills but a reasonable choice with a conveniently close underground stop.
Very kind landlady.
