What to see and do
If you’re a sports fan, don’t miss a visit to London’s Budweiser Gardens - also known as the John Labatt Centre. Both a sports hall and an entertainment venue, Budweiser Gardens houses a hockey rink, basketball arena and also an indoor concert hall. Catch a live game by the city’s own basketball team, the London Lightning, and be sure to stay for dinner as the food offered within the Gardens is reportedly both tasty and affordable.
Next must-see on the list - the gorgeous Springbank Park. A spectacular botanical display, Springbank Park stretches out over 140 hectares and contains the Thames River (yes, this is named after the one in London, England, too). Strap on a pair of hiking books and take to the 30 kilometres of nature trails surrounded by greenery and scenic beauty, and be sure to pack a picnic basket to consume by the river. Those with kids in tow will also be glad to make use of the attractions of Storybook Gardens, the Park’s in-house amusement park.
