The Vienna International Airport is the country’s largest airport and it is home to four terminals - Terminal 1 which has just completed refurbishment in 2013 is used primarily by Air Berlin, Terminal 1A is where the low-cost carriers depart from and arrive into, Terminal 2 is currently closed for renovation and Terminal 3 is commonly known as the Austrian Star Alliance Terminal (use mainly by Star Alliance airline members). The airport is home to a huge selection of duty-free shops, restaurants and modern traveller facilities like children’s play areas, baby care facilities as well as luggage storage just to name a few. While complimentary WiFi is freely available throughout the airport, passengers travelling in Economy class may opt for greater comfort at one of the pay-to-access airport lounges where they will be able to enjoy some light snacks and beverages while waiting for their next flight out. Alternatively, there are a number of hotels like the NH Vienna Airport Conference Center and Hotel Deininger which are located close to the airport for travellers wanting a little more privacy and better quality rest.
