Kuala Terengganu Airport, officially known as Sultan Mahmud Airport, takes its name from the 16th Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mahmud, who ruled from 1978 to 1998. It is located 8 km from city centre of Kuala Terengganu in in the state of Terengganu in Malaysia.

Sultan Mahmud Airport has around half a dozen flights per day to Kuala Lumpur on Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia. Crystal Mosque

The Crystal Mosque or Masjid Kristal is an impressive structure of steel, glass and crystal located in the Islamic Heritage Park. Opened in 2008, the mosques can accommodate over 1,500 worshipers. While tourists are free to visit the mosque, please do remember to observe silence and strict dress code.

Tengku Tengah Zaharah Mosque

The Tengku Tengah Zaharah Mosque or the Floating Mosque is situated in Kuala Ibai Lagoon near the Kuala Ibai River around 4 km from Kuala Terengganu. The mosque is the first floating mosque in the country and built in a combination of contemporary and traditional Moorish architecture. The ideal time to visit this mosque is in the evening.

Istana Maziah

Located at the the foothills of Bukit Puteri, the imposing Maziah Palace or Istana as its is locally known is a popular tourist attraction. It is one of few palaces owned by the Terengganu Royal Family. The public cannot enter the palace at it is an official residence, however one can stroll around the palace grounds
