New Hampshire is a state in the New England region of the north-eastern United States. It is the fifth smallest state in the U.S. and one of the least populated as well. New Hampshire is bordered by Massachusetts, Vermont, and the Canadian province of Quebec. New Hampshire is one of the original states that founded the United States of America, after it established a government independent of Great Britain's authority. The state saw a slight increase in population during 2013, when it reached a population of 1,323,459. Its population is made up of a majority of White American, and small percentage of Asian American and African American, among other racial groups. The Republican Party and the Democratic Party are the only official parties in New Hampshire.

New Hampshire is known for its large ski mountains, perfect for outdoor and recreational activities like skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, even mountaineering. From the peak of the mountain, you can get a great view of the city. If you’re looking for more adventures with nature, the White Mountain National Forest is connected with the Vermont and Maine parts of the Appalachian Trail. You can also drive along the Mount Washington Auto Road towards the top of the 6,288-foot Mount Washington. There are also fall foliage and summer cottages along many lakes along the seacoast for a relaxing stay with your family and loved ones. If you’re visiting the state in June, don’t miss out on the New Hampshire Motor Speedway and Motorcycle Week, held in Weirs Beach near Laconia. These are annual motorcycle rallies that will keep your adrenaline pumping even on your seat at the audience area. If you’re travelling with children, visiting the local zoo, the Benson’s Wild Animal Farm, and amusement park can become a great treat.

The easiest way to get around New Hampshire is by car, though you can go for Concord Trailways and Dartmouth Coach, which offer service to much of the state.

How to get there

There are plenty of means to get in New Hampshire. You can travel by air to Boston Regional Airport. It flies from destinations such as Atlanta, Detroit, and Philadelphia. With the airport's location on the south of the central business district of Manchester, it is the easiest way to get into New Hampshire. You can also ride a bus in Vermont Transit, which services from Montreal, Vermont, and Maine or hop onto a bus in Concord Coach Lines which runs from Boston, Massachusetts, and Maine to New Hampshire. The state can also be reached by train although there is limited access to the city when you opt for this. The Downeaster only serves the seacoast region, passing through from Boston North Station to Portland, Maine, while the Vermonter primarily serves eastern Vermont, but also serves Claremont.
