Los Angeles International Airport serves the United States’ City of Angels, Los Angeles. The second most populated city in the US (after New York City), Los Angeles is the home of Holly-wood and plays an integral part in the country’s film industry. The city is served by multiple air facilities, but Los Angeles International Airport (often referred to simply as LAX) is the biggest and busiest of all. The airport handles over 70 million travellers annually and consists of an astonishing 9 passenger terminals. The terminals are named 1-8, with the last one called the Tom Bradley International Terminal.
LAX is a hub base for a number of American air carriers such as United Airlines and American Airlines, and is also served by dozens of airlines from around the world like Cathay Pacific, Emirates, KLM, Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines. Popular destinations from LAX include San Francisco, New York, London, Chicago and Seattle.
